Piano Lessons Online And Beginner Course Reviews

Thinking of learning the piano? Do you find private piano lessons too expensive? Have you considered getting piano lessons online?

The cheapest way to get started is to download a printable piano course from the internet. The best methods are great value for money. They usually include everything from learning how to read music, understanding rhythms, the music alphabet, learning to play by ear, the chord system, scales and arpeggios, recognizing the keys on the piano and more.

Some of the online piano courses are actually free, but the the ones we have seen so far don't offer much information.

Note from Graham Howard - the alltalents.co.uk editor/

I have written a 5 part piano course that will teach you all the basic techniques including: how to sit correctly at the piano, the names of the notes on the piano, the music alphabet, how to train your ear, how to recognize rhythm and much more. This is a great way for you to start out. You can get these free piano lessons here.

Rocket Piano

Editors comments: The number one selling piano course online. Rocket piano is jam packed full of information. The author Ruth Searle hasn't left out a single thing you need to know when learning the piano.

Review 1

"After buying this course I was so impressed with the amount of information I got. I really didn't expect to get this from online piano lessons. (I even had to go out and buy more paper for the printer!) I am new to the piano and had been looking around online for sometime before discovering this course.

The first section was a little boring, it explained all about the history of the piano and how the piano actually produces the sound, half way through reading this I decided to skip forward.

I must admit it took me about 6 weeks to get through the whole course. I had to go back a few times because I forgot the basic rhythm stuff. By the end of the course I was playing basic pop tunes and could also play along to a few songs I heard on the radio. I heard there is Rocket piano intermediate lessons as well. I can't wait to get started on that. Vusal Hamzayev, Edmonton, London."

Testimonials

"Hi Graham, I find the exercises very useful indeed "How to Get Your Hand Positions and Fingering Right" in particular. The piano lessons are very clear.

I don't have a great deal of time so when lessons or tutorials are broken up into small chunks that can be practiced for a few minutes here and there, it's very useful."

Many thanks,
Mat Howlett
